A Labor of Love
What began as a homework assignment turned into a 6 year endeavor to finish what would be my first attempt at a longform documentary film and the beginning of a journey to use art and media to encourage social change and give a voice to those who are often marginalized. It has been a challenge and a joy and I’m eternally grateful for the many people who supported me and this film. I hope watching it brings you some joy and maybe enlightens you as well.

The Best Show In Town features the story of the Loveland Players a theater troupe of 50+ actors, all with different developmental challenges, who work over the course of nine months to put on one of the most honest and engaging theater performances you’ll ever see. What theater gives to these actors is transformative and what these actors give to their audience is a new perspective on what it means to live with a developmental disability.
